Peninsula Keys

These two Commemorative keys were presented at the Grand Opening of The Peninsula - London, a brand new lavish hotel beside Hyde Park Corner. One of the keys was presented to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, and the other was for Sir Michael Kadoorie (the owner).

They feature both the male and the female Liondogs (Foo dogs) that guard the doors of the hotel. The box is book-matched English Walnut wood and silver, lined with silk, custom printed with an atlas of the night sky in London, June 2024 on one side and on the other with the night sky of Hong Kong in 1928, at the opening of the first Peninsula Hotel. The box opens either way up, to showcase both Foo dogs equally, between them lies the way into the hotel, symbolised by the keys.

The design, the materials and the craftsmanship reflect the Peninsula's reputation for excellence.

2024, Sterling silver keys 25cm, Silver and Walnut boxes 42cm x 16cm x 7cm when closed.

If you would like to find out more about the commissioning process, I would be delighted to have an informal no-obligation chat.
