Thanks to the generosity of the friends and family of the late John Cussell, a skillshare/learning/teaching project based on making teapots has been created. Phase one began in my workshop in November, with Tony Bedford teaching Abigail Brown, Cara Murphy and Angus McFadyen and myself. Each of us began making a teapot to our own design, using different techniques and methods of forming and fabrication. Phase one continues with a second gathering in May. Phase two; passing on the skills learned to a wider group of eight more silversmiths, will take place in Sheffield in July.
