Thanks to Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust  for showing my work at Collect Art Fair,  This is the new platter I made as a result of my QEST scholarship, particularly from deepening my understanding of flat hammering, with  Tony Bedford. It was great to put the exploration into practice in silver… I have a large pile of copper experiments, now beginning to bear fruit (quite literally in this image!)

Betula is the Birch tree, my favourite tree, especially in Spring, when the buds burst, translucent, luminous, vibrant. Collect was a joy,, meeting up with friends and connecting with people. It’s an unparalleled opportunity to see the best in contemporary craft from the UK and far beyond, and an explosion of creativity and mind-bending use of materials.
