Thanks to everyone who came to the opening of ‘Illuminating Silver’ at Craft in the Bay in Cardiff on Saturday, it was buzzing!

It kicked off with a ‘walk and talk’ round the show, which gives an insight into some of the unseen aspects of a practising silversmith in the 21st Century.  I explained the ‘chapters’ which include Illuminating Commissioning, the Power of Practice, Passing on skills, the Strength of community and the Quest for development.

John Andrew of The Pearson Silver Collection then gave a fascinating talk about how the renaissance of British silver design came about.

The exhibition is open for seven weeks, until 29th October.

Craft in the Bay is open daily 10am-5pm
