To clean, use washing up liquid and warm water with a brush to remove dirt (a paintbrush or an old toothbrush work well). If the piece has become tarnished, immerse in Silver Dip liquid for a few seconds, then rinse very well in running water, and DRY thoroughly (preferably dabbing with a tissue, then with warm air; a hairdryer, or over a radiator or similar heat source).

An alternative (more eco-friendly) method is to place aluminium kitchen foil on the bottom of a ceramic or glass dish, add bicarbonate of soda and boiling water. Place your tarnished silver in the dish, in contact with the foil, and wait a few seconds or minutes (you will see the tarnish disappear) then rinse well and dry.
